Our Constitution PDF Print E-mail

The Constitution describes the administrative structure of Grace United Church, including the rules under which it operates. The Constitution was last revised in 2008. Grace United Church is also subject to the rules and regulations mandated by the United Church of Canada. These are described in The Manual of the United Church of Canada.

The Constitution consists of a single document. Additional reference documents, termed appendices have also been provided for information, but do not form part of the Constitution.

Purpose: To be the court of the church appointed by the congregation.  In this capacity it will provide leadership in the care and oversight of the life of the congregation.

Grace Council is accountable to the membership of Grace United Church.  Minutes of Grace Council meetings are made available to keep the membership informed of the decisions made by Grace Council and its committees.  Please note, the meeting minutes provided below are for information only, and are not official copies of Grace Council minutes.  Further, minutes marked as Draft have not yet been approved by Grace Council.
